Cris Cyborg responds to Dana White’s claim she turned down a rematch with Amanda Nunes

When Amanda Nunes stopped Cris Cyborg in 51 seconds to claim the UFC featherweight championship last December, Nunes declared her fellow Brazilian did not deserve an immediate rematch. At the time, UFC president Dana White agreed with the newly crowned double champion.

Cyborg, who was always very vocal about wanting another shot at Nunes, recently agreed to take on undefeated Felicia Spencer at UFC 240, scheduled for July 27 in Canada, after “The Lioness” moved back down to bantamweight to defend her second belt against Holly Holm on July 6.
