Former UFC featherweight champion Cristiane Justino Venancio, better known as “Cris Cyborg,” says she has no regrets after parting ways with the promotion earlier this month citing ongoing issues with UFC President Dana White as a major reason she didn’t renew her contract.
“Cyborg” fought her last fight for the promotion at UFC 240 on July 27 against promotional debutant and fellow former Invicta FC featherweight champion Felicia Spencer. The 34-year-old Justino dominated her opponent the entire fight, earning herself a unanimous decision victory.
Though that was the last fight on her contract, it was rumored “Cyborg” might renew her contract, or even sign a one-fight deal, for a rematch fight against dual-division champion Amanda Nunes who dethroned her for the 145-pound title.
