Cory Sandhagen did not need long to score the biggest win of his career yet when he vanquished perennial contender Frankie Edgar with a vicious flying knee in just 28 seconds.
Sandhagen improved to 14-2 overall and 7-1 in the UFC. “The Sandman” went airborne and collided his knee into Edgar’s chin, putting “The Answer” unconscious before he hit the ground.
“It feels good, man, but that’s Frankie Edgar, you know?” Sandhagen told Daniel Cormier during the post-fight interview of the ESPN+ broadcast. “I don’t want to watch that happen to him, but better him than me, so, that’s the game we’re in.
