Okay, first off - there are few mixes to a cocktail that provide better results for exciting championship fights like Alexander Gustafsson. He's come up short twice in his two title fights, but holy hell have they been absolute wars worth watching and admiring. Tonight, Gustafsson pushed Daniel Cormier like he's never been before. Maybe even more than even in his loss to Jon Jones. Both men, battered and bloodied refused to quit, and in that, delivered a rollercoaster ride of a fight.
The judges made it entertaining as well. We got a split decision with a 49-46 coming from one judge to give Cormier the nod.
