During his return to heavyweight last July at UFC 226, Daniel Cormier felt right at home. According to him, he “felt faster” at his original weight class, as he was not hindered by the “brutalizing” weight cut to 205 pounds.
Now that he holds both the UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight titles, “DC” has more obligations. And while he does admit that dropping back down would be a tall task to fulfill, he remains adamant to fulfill his obligations at 205 pounds.
“For me to go back down, it’s going to be difficult to defend this belt,” Cormier said on a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan.
