Conor McGregor’s legal team has denied reports that the Irishman is close to agreeing a deal with prosecutors in New York in regards to his bus attack that took place prior to UFC 223 in April.
McGregor was charged with one count of felony mischief and three counts of misdemeanor assault after throwing a metal dolly through a window of a bus that was carrying several UFC fighters. The target of the attack, Khabib Nurmagomedov, was not injured, but other fighters were left with facial lacerations.
TMZ Sports reported that McGregor is in the final stages of negotiating a deal with prosecutors that could see the felony mischief charge reduced to a misdemeanor and keep him out of jail.
