Fans were generally blindsided upon the announcement of Floyd Mayweather’s third resurgence from retirement last November. With the rule set unclear at first, Floyd Jr. ended up signing to fight Japanese kickboxer and mixed martial artist Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin 14 on New Year’s Eve.
As it turned out, the two men agreed to face each other in a “special rules” exhibition boxing match. The result turned out the way many expected it to, with Mayweather coming out on top and cashing in another hefty payday.
Now, Conor McGregor wants in on the action as well.
