It just might be happening. Perhaps the biggest fight in combat sports history — a boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. — is being targeted for September.
That's according to 'The Notorious' himself, who told Lance Pugmire of the LA Times that he expects to fight 'Money' in Autumn.
“I’m ready to box. I’ve been ready for a long time. The game’s going to be in shock when I step in the ring. Trust me on that,” McGregor said. “[September] is what I’m thinking. That’s what the word is. That’s what we’re close to doing.
