It took a couple days, but Conor McGregor has fired back after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s thunderous win to close out 2017.
McGregor, the current UFC lightweight champion, posted a series of tweets early Monday indicating that he was unimpressed by Nurmagomedov’s performance, which saw the undefeated Dagestani smash Edson Barboza in a one-sided contest at UFC 219 to the tune of 30-25 (x2) and 30-24 scores. McGregor criticized Nurmagomedov’s “sloppy” win and hinted at his own eventual return to the Octagon, stating that all the UFC needed to do was pay him what he deserved.
