Albert Einstein once said "in the face of adversity lies opportunity," and UFC fighter Conor McGregor loves adversity.
The UFC announced Wednesday afternoon that the main event to UFC Fight Night 76, a lightweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Joseph Duffy, was off due to "a medical issue" suffered by Duffy.
With the card's other blue-chip fight, a heavyweight bout between Stipe Miocic and Ben Rothwell also getting chopped, the largely nondescript flyweight fight between Patrick Holohan and Louis Smolka has since assumed the main event spot.
Obviously, that fact isn't sitting well with fans in Dublin who bought tickets to the event.
