Immediately after it was announced Tuesday the two would battle for the vacant interim featherweight title at UFC 189, Mendes emerged as the early -130 odds-on favorite to capture the manufactured crown. Minutes later Mendes jumped to -160.
By late last night, the money started shifting to McGregor’s side of the sand and they were both at -120.
Fast forward just 12 hours and McGregor is in control. McGregor is now a 1.5-1 favorite to beat the man he dubbed “Mini Mendes” on July 11. Mendes, meanwhile, has dropped to +120.
This is likely just the beginning of this up and down movement.
