UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor won’t have to wear Reebok gear for his next fight. Of course, that fight won’t be taking place in the Octagon - instead, he’ll be meeting Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring on August 26th. But McGregor’s manager, Audie Attar, made it clear on The MMA Hour today that McGregor’s Reebok deal (the individual one he has, and the UFC’s affiliation with them) doesn’t apply here and he can pick up any sponsors he wants for the fight (via MMA Fighting):
“There’s a lot of open categories that we’ve been negotiating with brands, including Reebok,” Attar said.
