Conor McGregor: 'I helped train a guy to kill someone and then someone wound up dying'

Earlier this year, Portuguese welterweight prospect Joao Carvalho passed away following his technical knockout (TKO) loss to Ireland's Charlie Ward at the Total Extreme Fighting (TEF) championship event inside National Boxing Stadium in Dublin.

Ward trains under John Kavanagh inside Dublin's Straight Blast Gym, alongside reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The "Notorious" UFC 202 headliner now feels partly responsible for Carvalho's fate, as he explained to Men's Health (via Irish Mirror).

"It's fucked up. I wasn't just watching that fight. I helped train a guy to kill someone, and then someone wound up dying.
