Once interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson withdrew from his upcoming fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223, it was only a matter of time until “The Notorious” shared his thoughts.
It took less than 24 hours for Conor McGregor — still officially the UFC’s undisputed lightweight titleholder — to take to social media and address the news of Ferguson bowing out of Saturday’s main event due to an injury, and he did so in direct and insulting fashion.
McGregor’s tweet is in reference to the many setbacks that Ferguson and Nurmagomedov have faced in trying to set up a meeting in the Octagon.
