Reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo pulling out of his heavily hyped UFC 189 shootout against Conor McGregor (pictured) due to a rib injury cost McGregor a lot of money. However, McGregor doesn’t blame Aldo for “running” for safe haven because he was going to get dismantled.
McGregor has know for quite some time that Aldo was going to pull out of their scrap – even before the UFC announced the rivals would collide on July 11.
“I been contemplating it since long before the rib injury. As soon as the fight was announced I’ve been contemplating it,” McGregor said of Aldo withdrawing during Wednesday’s UFC 189 media call.
