Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will forever be linked in the annals of MMA history. The pair first met back at UFC 196 in 2016, Diaz coming in on short notice for Rafael dos Anjos. In that fight Diaz tapped McGregor with a choke, eradicating the Irishman’s air of invincibility.
The pair rematched a few months later with McGregor taking a decision after a close and bloody fight. The pair have remained enemies ever since, always keen to potshot at each other with insults from across the internet.
Yesterday the pair’s conflict flared up again after McGregor, who is currently healing from a broken leg suffered against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, hinted that a trilogy fight with Diaz could take place in the future.
