Combate Americas has signed five-division boxing world champion Amanda Serrano to an exclusive, multi-fight deal, the promotion announced Thursday.
A native of Puerto, the 29-year-old reigning WBO bantamweight champion owns a 34-1-1 record with 26 knockout victories in the Sweet Science. Serrano is expected to make her Combate Americas debut in March at an as-yet-to-be announced event.
“We are excited to bring Amanda Serrano, one of boxing’s most exciting superstars into the Combate Americas familia, and look forward to placing her on a global stage that is the premier sports property in 21 Spanish speaking countries worldwide,” Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren said in a release.
