Combate Americas has inked a deal with another professional boxer.
On Thursday afternoon, promotion officials announced Kenia Enriquez had put pen to paper on an exclusive multi-fight MMA deal, with the expectation being she will make her professional debut sometime in the fall.
Eriquez (21-1 boxing, 0-0 MMA), the reigning reigning WBC interim light flyweight champion and a former WBC flyweight champion, joins Amanda Serrano (36-1-1 boxing, 1-0-1 MMA) as the latest female pugilists to transition to four-ounce gloves.
In terms of competition, Eriquez was last seen defending her interim title with unanimous decision over Norleidys Graterol in October, extending her win streak to eight straight inside boxing’s square circle.
