Showtime and GLORY announcer Mauro Ranallo will be the new lead announcer on SmackDown for WWE.
If you're an MMA fan, you probably remember Mauro Ranallo best from his work in Pride or with Strikeforce. If boxing's your thing, his recent work on Showtime will come to mind. If you're a kickboxing aficionado, you may know him from GLORY. Now, the veteran Canadian announcer will be taking his considerable talents to the biggest pro wrestling organization in the world.
The WWE sent out a press release today touting Ranallo as the new voice of their SmackDown show.
