Combat Jiu Jitsu is making waves in competitive grappling and the kickoff of CJJ Worlds featured the sport center stage. With the first major event under wraps, Vagner Rocha earned the first lightweight title while Chad George earned the bantamweight championship.
Combat Jiu Jitsu is a blend between striking and grappling that has been featured at past Eddie Bravo Invitational. Sunday’s event focused solely on the CJJ space and featured some of the biggest names in both mixed martial arts and competitive grappling.
UFC veteran and ADCC bronze medalist, Rocha, took home the title when he stopped 10th Planet standout, Nathan Orchard, in regulation by TKO due to strikes.
