Colby Covington vs. Tyron Woodley didn’t make it to the scorecards at UFC Vegas 11, but according to judges’ scorecards, Covington was on his way to shutout victory.
On the scorecards of veteran judges Sal D’Amato, Derek Cleary and Mike Bell, Covington won every round, and widened his lead in the fourth before a fifth-round TKO brought an end to the fight.
The unanimity of the scorecards reflected the one-sided dominance of Covington, who repeatedly put Woodley on his back foot over 20 minutes, landing strikes in volume and takedowns to demoralize the former undisputed champ.
