Top-ranked UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington is up to his usual tricks, this time taking aim at four of his fellow welterweights.
Speaking in a recent interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Covington, who is expected to challenge newly-crowned champion Kamaru Usman for the 170-pound title, sounded off on Tyron Woodley, Robbie Lawler, Ben Askren and Kamaru ‘Snoozeman’.
“We got Woodley and Lawler fighting for the senior citizens championships,” Covington said, per Fernando Quiles Jr. of MMA News. “Those guys should be retired by now, they’re embarrassing. We got Ben Askren, he’s already gonna go get embarrassed in front of the whole world when he goes against [Jordan] Burroughs at ‘Beat The Streets.
