Colby Covington continues to build a reputation for himself as a loud talker. One of his primary targets as of late is UFC newcomer Ben Askren.
Assuming that the undefeated Askren wins his debut against Robbie Lawler at UFC 235 in March, a fight against Covington can be made down the line.
“Chaos,” however, is a little doubtful that an athletic commission would sanction this fight.
“Ben Askren, the only thing we have in common...I have a real belt, he has some belts from back in the day that don’t even matter anymore,” Covington said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday (transcript by MMA Mania).
