Yesterday, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor claimed that he offered to fight Frankie Edgar on short notice at next week’s UFC 222 pay-per-view, and it’s caused quite the stir on social media.
Edgar’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, called McGregor a ‘liar’ and a ‘prostitute’, claiming that ‘The Notorious’ has never had any interest in throwing down with ‘The Answer’.
Abdelaziz was backed up by Edgar’s long-time striking coach Mark Henry, who has developed somewhat of a feud with McGregor since the Irishman burst onto the scene in 2015.
