Luke Rockhold was supremely confident heading into his middleweight title bout with Chris Weidman back in 2015, as the Californian TKO’d ‘All-American’ after a back-and-forth, Fight of the Night classic in the UFC 194 co-main event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Fast forward to 2018, and Rockhold is even more confident heading into the rematch with Weidman at UFC 230 in New York.
That’s according to Rockhold’s longtime striking coach, Javier Mendez, who says his prized student is ‘reinventing himself all the time.’
“That’s a great matchup,” Javier Mendez said on a recent episode of BJPenn.
