Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor won the promotion's 145-pound title by knocking out Jose Aldo at UFC 194 last December in Las Vegas, Nevada, but to date, has yet to commit to his first title defense.
He's too busy playing touch-butt with Nate Diaz at 170 pounds.
That's why UFC President Dana White was forced to create an interim strap, to be contested between Aldo and top contender Frankie Edgar, who will bang it out for a shot at "Notorious" -- if and when he ever comes back -- at the upcoming UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) event.
