‘CM Punk’s’ UFC Debut Might Be Delayed Until 2016

When UFC president Dana White announced in December they had signed former WWE champion Phillip Brooks (pictured), better known as “CM Punk,” White suggested Brooks wouldn’t make his MMA debut for least six months after choosing a team.

Brooks joined the talented Roufusport gym quickly after inking with the UFC, though it appears Brooks is still a long way away from taking the cage.

“I’m super OK with it if my accountant is,” Punk said on The Jon Anik and Kenny Florian Podcast (transcribed by MMAJunkie.com). “I know Duke has told me, and I think he’s been public with it, that he would like a full 12 months before he signed off on me fighting.
