CM Punk isn't sure why fans are so angry about his presence in the UFC. After all, this bout between Mickey Gall and Mike Jackson on Saturday night wouldn't be happening without him.
"The whole situation is weird," Punk told Ariel Helwani in an interview on UFC Fight Pass. "People are upset. People think the whole thing is strange but what I'm doing is creating jobs. I've created two so far. I wish both guys well."
If Gall beats Jackson on Saturday night at UFC Fight Night: Hendricks vs. Thompson in Las Vegas, he will be the first person to face Punk in the UFC.
