‘CM Punk’ Paid $500,000 For UFC Debut

That’s a staggering $3,731 for each of the 134 seconds that Brooks lasted in his landslide defeat to Mickey Gall.

The Ohio Athletic Commission, the committee who sanctioned Saturday’s UFC 203 event inside Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, confirmed Brooks’ hefty payday Monday.

Brooks would not have received a win bonus had he overcome his 3.5-1 underdog status.

Gall, meanwhile, made just $30,000, with half of his paycheck coming via win bonus.

To put things into perspective, heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic made only $100,000 more than Brooks for successfully defending his throne against Alistair Overeem in the main event.
