The UFC is taking the Octagon back to Mexico City in September, and it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that there will be a lot of Mexican talent taking residence on the card. The first bout attached to the event was announced by the promotion today, and will take place at women’s strawweight with Alexa Grasso meeting former champ Claudia Gadelha.
Grasso (11-2, 3-2 UFC) put together her finest UFC performance to date in her last bout, defeating Karolina Kowalkiewicz via unanimous decision. She has alternated wins and losses in each of her five bouts in the big show to date.
