If UFC women's strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha isn't the next fighter to challenge champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk for her belt then it's news to her.
The Brazilian fighter was initially promised a fight against Jedrzejczyk after defeating Jessica Aguilar at UFC 190 on Aug. 1. However, a story by Yahoo's Kevin Iole indicates Dana White has already pegged No. 10-ranked Valerie Letourneau to replace the shelved "Claudinha," who will need three months to nurse a partially torn ligament in her middle finger before she can actually punch with it.
MMAFighting.com's Brazilian correspondent Guilherme Cruz caught up with Gadelha, who told him she was surprised to read about the switch up.
