On less than a week’s notice, Christos Giagos is seizing his chance to fight before the end of the year.
People with knowledge of the new matchup confirmed to MMA Fighting that Giagos (17-8) will fight Carlton Minus (10-2, 1 NC) at UFC Vegas 17 on Saturday. Giagos replaces Rick Glenn, who was pulled from the matchup after testing positive for COVID-19.
Glenn’s withdrawal and Giagos’ involvement were first reported by BJPenn.com.
Giagos is making up for last time after an injury forced him out of an April 25 booking against Alan Patrick.
