Most fans are familiar with Chris Weidman’s history of chronic injuries, but never in quite so up-close-and-personal a manner as they are now.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champion (14-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) revealed in his Instagram stories that he had unexpected neck surgery on Wednesday and while he didn’t provide a lot of details, the former champ said the procedure was “disc replacement surgery.”
“Kind of an unexpected neck surgery yesterday,” Weidman wrote. “Explain soon, but I’m all good, and I’ll be healthy soon.”
Weidman shared some graphic images along with video where he removed a drain from his neck.
