Charles Oliveira has surprised his coaches and managers Diego Lima and Jorge Patino “Macaco” with replicas of the UFC belt.
“Do Bronx” Oliveira, who captured the vacant lightweight title with a second-round TKO over Michael Chandler this past May in Houston, TX, has decided to buy replicas of the UFC belt to gift his longtime coaches after a 11-year journey that led to the Chute Boxe talent finally clinching UFC gold.
Oliveira originally planned on buying the belts down the line, he told MMA Fighting, but changed plans after he found out he would accompany Lima and “Macaco” to Las Vegas to corner Chute Boxe teammate Laureano Staropoli against Roman Dolidze at UFC Vegas 28 on June 5.
