Charges dropped against alleged accomplice in Aniah Blanchard case

Ibraheem Yazeed is now the primary target of prosecutors in the disappearance and death of Aniah Blanchard after charges were dropped against one of his alleged accomplices.

A judge granted a prosecution request to drop a kidnapping charge against Antwain “Squirmy” Fisher, who initially was accused of assisting Yazeed by providing transportation and disposing of evidence in the crime, per reports in the Montgomery Advertiser and AL.com.

Fisher was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to answer on charges of aiding and abetting Yazeed. But Lee County Assistant District Attorney Garrett Saucer conceded Fisher wasn’t present “during the commission of the principal offense” and that his “conduct is akin to that of a common-law ‘accessory after the fact.
