Last week, Duane Ludwig apologized for self-described "stupid comments" he made directed at Team Alpha Male -- his former students -- when he declared that T.J. Dillashaw was the only fighter on the squad who actually wants to be a mixed martial arts (MMA) champion.
That critique didn't sit too well with members of the Sacramento, Calif.,-based squad, as they took to social media to defend the allegations, while accusing Ludwig of acting like a "jealous ex-girlfriend."
That includes top featherweight contender Chad Mendes (via MMA Hour), who made it clear that 95-percent of the fights they won under Ludwig's brief tenure would've been obtained with or without him.
