Carlo Pedersoli announced that he has signed on the dotted line with Bellator following his release from the UFC after contesting three fights in the infamous Octagon.
The Italian welterweight posted the news on Instagram on Monday morning. MMA Fighting later confirmed the announcement with Bellator. The post states that UFC released Pedersoli Jr. rather than letting him fight out the last bout on his contract. He also revealed that Bellator were one of two suitors that were vying for his signature after parting ways with UFC.
Pedersoli Jr. (11-3-0) was signed by the UFC last year after he played spoiler to Nicolas Dalby’s Cage Warriors return by claiming a split-decision win.
