Tonight, HBO takes to PPV with the fight no one demanded. Canelo Alvarez will move back down to his old home of 154 pounds to challenge Liam Smith for Smith's WBO title. Both men are undefeated world champions, but much like last week's Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook fight, that doesn't mean anyone thinks this is a truly competitive fight. Smith has faced subpar competition in his championship run and takes a huge step up here against arguably the sport's biggest star. Canelo of course should be fighting GGG here - everyone know it. But he's not.
