Mexican boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs) will be making his return on Cinco de Mayo weekend, and it will be against the son of a Mexican boxing legend. Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya confirmed on Friday that the current WBO junior middleweight (154 lbs) champion is set to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (50-2-1-1 NC, 32 KOs)on Saturday, May 6th on HBO pay-per-view. There will be no title at stake, and the two sides have agreed to a 164.5 lbs catchweight.
