LONDON — Nathias Frederick was emotionally embraced by his mother following his fourth-round victory over James Webb to claim the Cage Warriors middleweight title on Saturday night in the main event of Cage Warriors 111 at the Indigo.
The middleweight duo fought to a draw in June at Night of Champions and both insisted that they had done enough to have their hands raised following the contest.
Webb looked to use his grappling skill-set from the get-go, but after two strong rounds, Frederick shifted into a higher gear and started to land powerful strikes on the Team KF fighter, who stayed in the fray throughout a heavy spell of fire in the third round.
