By The Numbers: Valentina Shevchenko

Those who thought Valentina Shevchenko might soon be ready to walk off into the sunset appear to have grossly miscalculated.

“Bullet” captured the undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s flyweight title for the second time when she laid claim to a unanimous decision over Alexa Grasso in the UFC 306 co-main event on Saturday at the Sphere in Las Vegas. All three judges scored it 50-45 for Shevchenko, who evened her head-to-head series with the Lobo Gym star at 1-1-1. Grasso struggled to stay upright against the determined challenger, as she surrendered eight takedowns in her first setback since 2019.
