Glover Teixeira is gradually climbing back into contention in the light heavyweight division.
The Brazilian slugger made short work of Rashad Evans in the UFC on Fox 19 headliner at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., on Saturday night, knocking out “The Ultimate Fighter 2” winner 1:48 into the opening stanza of their 205-pound clash.
That makes three straight Octagon triumphs for the 36-year-old Teixeira, who also finished Patrick Cummins and Ovince St. Preux during his current winning streak. Here is a by-the-numbers look at UFC on Fox 19, with statistics courtesy of FightMetric.
