Donald Cerrone looks like he’s ready to start another lengthy winning streak.
Showing no ill effects from a disappointing first-round technical knockout loss to Rafael dos Anjos in a lightweight title bid this past December, “Cowboy” made his 170-pound debut a rousing success, submitting short-notice foe Alex Oliveira with a triangle choke 2:33 into the opening stanza of the UFC Fight Night headliner at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Sunday night.
Cerrone has a long way to go to match his recent eight-fight tear, but if anyone is up to the task, it’s the notoriously active Jackson-Wink MMA product.
