While it wasn’t quite a snoozer on par with Derrick Lewis vs. Francis Ngannou, the UFC Fight Night 133 headliner wasn’t one for the record books, either.
Former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos maintained a consistent output for five rounds at the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday night, and that was enough to outpoint former World Series of Fighting tilist Blagoy Ivanov. Fortunately, there were several other noteworthy performances on the card, including a triumphant return by Chad Mendes and a slugfest between Alexander Volkanovski and Darren Elkins, among others.
