Mayra Bueno Silva just picked up her second armbar victory in the Octagon, at UFC Vegas 11, but that’s not where she wants to stop.
After tapping out Mara Romero Borella in the first round of their fight, the Brazilian reveals to draw inspiration from former female bantamweight champion and armbar queen herself, Ronda Rousey.
In an interview with Ag Fight, Silva says she wishes to go above and beyond to become the athlete with most armbar wins in the promotion. In order to achieve that, Mayra will need to surpass the mark of none other than former flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who holds four such wins in the promotion: over John Moraga, Wilson Reis, Ray Borg and Kyoji Horiguchi.
