Bubba Jenkins, the blue chip wrestling prospect turned mixed martial artist, has been released by Bellator.
As first reported by The MMA Report, Jenkins was recently made a free agent, nearly six months after losing a bout against Georgi Karakhanyan at Bellator 160. Bellator officials confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Jenkins is an 11-time Bellator veteran, who had an 8-3 record with the promotion. He came to Bellator a decorated collegiate wrestler, having won a Division I championship while wrestling at Arizona State University in 2011 (157 pounds).
