Over the weekend, Cain Velasquez retired from mixed martial arts competition to pursue a career in professional wrestling. The former UFC heavyweight champion recently signed with the WWE to face Brock Lesnar for the company’s Crown Jewel event in Riyadh on October 31st.
During a recent episode of the Below the Belt podcast, former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub gave his take on Velasquez’s WWE transition. He first alluded to how every professional wrestler is on performance-enhancing drugs.
“I hate to do this, but WWE fans, every single one of your favorite wrestlers is on steroids,” Schaub said (transcript by MMA News).
