TMZ Sports is reporting that Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson was admitted at a hospital near his Coral Springs, Fla., home earlier this evening (June 6, 2016). The situation was described as "not looking good" and police were at his home conducting and investigation.
Shortly after the TMZ report surfaced, American Top Team (ATT) -- the Coconut Creek-based gym where Slice worked to refine his mixed martial arts (MMA) game -- issued the following Tweet mourning his passing:
The ATT Family and South Florida community lost a legend today. RIP Kimbo. pic.twitter.com/sjs8ctyJMd

The local CBS news station then claimed that Ferguson had, indeed, expired; however, there was no specific information on the website beyond the social media statement:

Slice, 42, had been in the news lately for many reasons, including his failed drug test for Bellator 149 and subsequent claim that it should be okay for older fighters to take a few vitamins to stay in fighting shape.
