Carlos Diego Ferreira will face a 12-month suspensio, retroactive to April 30, following a positive performance enhancing drug test after his unanimous decision win against Olivier Aubin-Mercier, on January 30.
As Tatame reported, Ferreira tested positive for a substance called Enobosarm, also known as Ostarine, which is used for muscle growth by cancer and osteoporosis patients.
Ferreira had his hearing last Tuesday, on June 21 and tried and appeal the decision, but it was to no avail as all judges found him guilty. Along with the suspension, he will have to present a clean test before he can perform again.
