A welterweight clash between Brandon Thatch and Siyar Bahadurzada was pushed back 13 days, the UFC announced Friday night. Initially planned for the Feb. 21 UFC Fight Night card in Pittsburgh, Penn., the bout has officially been moved to Las Vegas’ UFC 196 on March 5.
According to the promotion, Thatch is using a medication permitted under the UFC/USADA, WADA and Nevada State Athletic Commission anti-doping rules, but was unable to get the necessary clearance from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission.
"The Colorado fighter and his team have been in communication with the UFC and USADA throughout this process, and the required paperwork for licensing in Nevada has been filed," the promotion explained in a statement.
